MSU-1 subfolders and EmulationStation listing

Hello!
Following this guide, I was able to get SNES MSU-1 games working. I'm enjoying them a lot.
So within /roms/msu1/ folder, I have a subfolder for each game containing the .msu, .sfc, .pcm files as per the guide.
EmulationStation lists each subfolder name and I have to click into each one to see the info, artwork etc. Please could anyone advise how to make a flat list like other systems?
I found a similar issue here for ScummVM but struggled a bit with the explanation...
