I installed retropie from github on raspbian jessie. When I start emulator station, the first screen (gamepad setup) tells me my gamepad is detected. I did lsub and the gamepad is detected by the system.

But when I press a gamepad button to configure it , nothing happens.

I tried installing retropie as a sd image, and all works fine, I can configure the gamepad by pressing a button for a while.

So, the same gamepad (a logitech cordless rumblepad 2) works fime if I install retropie as sd image, but don´t work If I install retropie over my raspbian system.

Is there anything included in the sd image of retropie that I must install to fix it?

        I fixed it.

It was due to rpi-update i did after raspbian fresh installation.

I reinstalled raspbian but not updated firm and all seems to work now.
