    Hello,

Im using the official 7 inch touchscreen.
Is it possible to output to HDMI while keeping the screen connected?

Or to atleast change from screen to HDMI when i plug in HDMI, and back to screen when HDMI disconnects ?

Sound seems to come with HDMI while screen is on, but no screen output to HDMI.

Edit: Someone can recommend a powerbank for the Pi3?
My Oneplus powerbank seems to work, but got a lightning icon so guess there is something with the power? (Dont have this with cable)

Looks like you can use PINN to accomplish this. Feature of 1.9.2. https://github.com/procount/pinn

I started from scratch, and I'm not sure how to migrate an existing installation. My goal is to make a mini gaming machine that I can use "portably" as well as plugged into a monitor.

            1. Installed PINN on a freshly formatted card.
            2. Booted up PINN, and only installed Retropie.
            3. Booted into Retropie and used the update scripts to upgrade to the newest version.
            4. Followed the instructions at https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=108&t=150889.

A lot of trial and error getting this to work. You need access to the card directly, since you have to access the Recovery and Boot partitions to change the config files. I'm happy to post my config files if you need some help. Remember you have to add "lcd_rotate=2" (rotates screen and touch points 180) to config.dsi for some LCD installations.

Eager to hear how it goes. Apparently you can pre-configure PINN with "flavor" files to automate the installation and configuration, but I couldn't figure that part out.

@gojira May you be able to share those config files?

Very interested, I'm researching about it as well. Strangely enough it seems not many people are interested in using an LCD and a normal tv screen (one at time) and really don't understand why..

I am also trying to do this! Did you succeed? If so, I'm very curious to hear about it!
