And why not create a fork of Pixel with 8 bit NES like selection / cursor movement sounds? Pixel sounds maybe?

@sergioad Editing it with sounds is fine. But most users complain about whatever sound you choose. So I chose not to have sounds in the theme. It's better than getting 150 comments saying "This sound is annoying. Change it." lol.

@herb_fargus Oh, ok! I'll try again then. :)
Can you tell if I'm editing the right file /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/gamelists/retropie/gamelist.xml
              Thanks!

Hi, ive seen a version of this on your tube that when you select a game, the screen zooms into the box art or screenshot thats being shown top right.

                how did they do that?

@a7mag3ddon Change the Emulation Station setting from fade to zoom under the UI section.

Some guy on youtube seems to have managed to run this theme in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Any idea how he did this? Is this related to the theme, or is this a Raspberry Pi setting?

All themes will run in whatever resolution your system is set to. Since his is set to a CRT Television, it's 4:3 and the themes are displayed at 4:3.

@Rookervik Ok, but do you know how to set the resolution to 4:3, then? There's three of us trying to find a solution in this thread: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/5856/component-out-to-4-3-crt-via-3-5mm-jack

@felleg The Pi automatically sets itself to 4:3 when it boots and a TV is hooked up to the RCA cables. If you're on a HDMI TV trying to get into a 4:3 resolution you can do it by messing with the config.txt. But it's kind of silly to do that on a widescreen TV.

                            config.txt video modes: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt.md

@Rookervik Maybe it would be best to continue in the thread I linked instead of derailing this theme thread, but I'm not so sure the Pi boots in 4:3 when using the 3.5mm AV cables. I sadly don't have my monitor around to take a picture, but just to give an idea, it feels like emulationstation is displayed in 16:9 (even on the CRT) and the games are in 4:3.

That means the games look fine, but the menu gets cutoff
I can try to mess around with the overscan so that I can see the whole menu, but then the picture of the games get squeezed horizontally.

That did work but it zooms into centre of screen and not into the top right corner.

                                    Hey guys,

I added a set of SG-1000 roms, but can't see them. Is it on this theme systems ?

                                    Amazing theme BTW. Thank you!

@Rookervik can I modify your theme to make it compatible with video support (ES @fieldofcows fork) and upload here for you so you can add that version in your first post?

@Nismo That sounds fine. Thanks for asking. There are too many forks of ES right now, so I wouldn't be able to convert every theme for every fork available. Especially since I screw up my copy of RetroPie so easily. I'd never be able to install a different ES without totally botching my setup. :D

Pixel supports sg-1000. You probably need to install an emulator for that system. RetroPie has been stripped down to only the most popular systems. The rest you must install separately.

@Rookervik I have no problems with systems because i use windows... XD

So you mean that I have your permission to upload here a version compatible with ES video?
