I am struggling to find out why my Pi 3 is displaying such dark colors throughout the interface and even in games. For example, the Carbon theme, I can't even see the carbon fiber grid pattern and I can barely see the red controllers above the system selection. I then downloaded the Simple and Simple-Dark themes, which are better, but it is still dark where it's definitely noticeable.

My TV brightness is set to 100 and gamma is set fine on the TV, but I can't find anything for brightness/gamma control for the Pi. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

        Are you using HDMI?

Here's some more things that might help:

        • First, if your TV has Game Mode then turn that on!
        • Second, disable any power saving settings or ambient screen dimming.
        • Third, turn off all post-processing effects on your TV like dynamic contrast, etc.
        • Forth, make sure you're not daisy chaining the HDMI cable through an Xbox or another device (even amplifiers can degrade the signal).
        • Fifth, also test with each HDMI port in the back of the TV. Sometimes HDMI ports 1 (and 2) on the TV are a faster input than the rest.
        • Last, maybe try other TVs and monitors to see if you still have these issues.
