GBA saves location

Dear all,
1,5 year ago my son used to play gba games on retropie. Now he would like continue playing. I was going to install the new version of retropie and copy saves to this new version. But I cannot find where the gba saves are located. Any help would be highly appreciated.

@zeitalex which emulator? If using the libretro cores they will be in the GBA ROMs folder.

unfortunately I don't remember how he plaied gba, but in GBA ROM folder there are no saves.
