Please can the community help me? I have just installed 4.1 i believe and tried to follow instructions. After which I rebooted my Rasbperry Pie 3B

Then i get an ascii coloured joy stick that i try and load by putting in, pie (Return Key)
raspberry, (Return Key). but i just get error messages on each lines, with the word bash.

Has anyone had this problem and what did they do?

@Listener Which image did you download and install? Was it the correct one for the Pi3 as there is also one for the Pi Zero which won't work. Could be a dodgy SD card as well as it should boot straight into Emulation Station once it's ran through some initial setup on first run. I'd advise providing the error messages you see as well here to see if someone can decipher them for you.

Sounds like a corrupt filesystem due to bad sdcard, or bad ior incorrectly written image.

It seems that emulationstation isn't loading for some reason and the user is trying to enter account data in a bash prompt.

That sounds right. If it's not corruption then they may not have a rpi3 (and are running wrong image). Note that both images work on a rpi2 or 3, but only rpi1 image works on rpi1.

How many raspberries at the top left on boot?

Hello meleu and thank you for your reply.
I have reinstalled the software, which works, but now have a problem loading the roms via a USB pen drive.

The roms do not show up and no sign of the emulators.

                      Best wishes,
