      Per the FAQ I set the RetroArch config options for...

      mame2003-tate_mode = "enabled"
      video_allow_rotate = "false"

      When I go to play it is vertical but the screen is squished (display is ~20" wide / ~24" diagonal 1920x1080 over HDMI), it takes up maybe about a third of the screen in the center.

      What it looks like it's actually doing is taking the internal resolution of what it would be if it were horizontal, then flipping it vertical, so it's not filling the whole screen. Any way to fix that behavior and get it to fill the whole screen vertically?

        hi! hmm, do you have the latest lr-mame2003 ? that change was done in the last few weeks so won't be in your image, and possibly not in the binaries either. you probably have to install lr-mame2003 from source (takes about 40 minutes).

          Updating from source did the trick! Bless you, very much appreciated. ^_^
