2 Hotkeys?
-
Is it possible to make it so 2 hotkeys have to be pressed to use hotkeys? So if I want to exit my game I want to press Select+Left Trigger(Hot Keys) and Start (Exit). Or Select+Left Trigger and B to reset game, and so on.

@Dominus nope. A single kb button or controller buttton must be used as the "enable hot key button". I use select on my controller and shift on my kb.
*EDIT Think of it like a shift key. A double "enable" combination cannot be used. It is tied to a single key or button. -
@columboscoat Yeah select works fine, I just find with some games, where you might have to use select in the game, or arcade games, when you're popping in coins, that you can easily hit your reset button as well. I'm gonna try to change it to the logo buttons on my 360 and PS4 controllers, and hopefully people won't hit them by accident anymore when button mashing lol.

I don't think the Middle XBox Logo Button on a 360 controller works as a hotkey in Retropie, or for anything. Can anyone confirm this?Figured it out. There was 2 different .cfg, so I changed both.

@Dominus
For the Metroid games where you need to keep pressing the Select button or like Wrecking Crew on the NES where it kicks you out of the current game when pressing Select, I made a config file with the same name as the rom with .cfg appended to it (like Metroid.zip.cfg) and then setup the Guide/Logo button as Hotkey on my Xbox 360 controller just for those games:# Hotkey button input_enable_hotkey_btn = 10 #Guide
Or you can change it for every game on 1 system (like for MAME2003) by added the above to this file:
/opt/retropie/configs/mame-libretro/retroarch.cfg
