I know there are numerous topics on this but I am using mupen64plus-GLideN64 emulator as this is the best emulator for my n64 roms. The only problem is that I cannot exit it. I have modified the mupen64plus.cfg file to set an "exit" key on my wired generic xbox 360 gamepad using xboxdrv driver.

I do not have a keyboard. Are there any alternatives? Can I quit this emulator (not emulationstation) via ssh?

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I also have the same problem, so interested to hear any responses. I would like to know if it's possible to edit a .cfg to add the 'Select' + 'Start' hotkey to exit cleanly.

@SullyCT79 which version of the retropie image are you using?
with the newest stable image 4.1 it should work OOTB with the default key combination select+start.
