    Hi,

I can't lunch the Web server on Kodi to control it form android app or web browser.

When I click on Allow remote control via HTTP it's bring me an alert with Failed to start in it.

I use the last Retropie on a RPI3.

Some ideas ? Do i need to install more package (a webserver like apache, witch seem to be a bit anoying for a rpi3 isn't it ? )

"Allow remote control via HTTP" enables the web interface, to control it via web browser
      http://kodi.wiki/view/web_interface
"Allow remote control via UPnP" enables remote control from apps like Kore and Yatse.
      http://kodi.wiki/view/UPnP/Server

Both don't need external programs and are confirmed to be working in this version and in RetroPie.

So please post your Kodi log here or even better, in Kodi oficial forum.

By the log, I meant the full log. Use something like pastebin to post logs. More info:

You have only 64 MB of RAM for the GPU, the minimum recommended for Kodi is 128 MB.
Make sure you don't have any other active server in port 80. Change the port to 8080 for example in Kodi to quickly test it.

I've changed the ram for gpu to 128 and the port to 8080, it works fine now.

            Thx :)

                it's done in Kodi : System > Settings > Services > Web server > Port : 8080

Anybody that is having any issues with the web failed in all versions i can help go into settings on the kodi open network setting once you open the network setting on the kodi your going to scroll down to web server your going to type into this section 8080 what this does stop the errors from occurring make sure this section is not enabled change the web interface to hex this will make the streaming process run better and alot faster on any computer if you have the chrome addon you can use that too but hex is the best server which run better for apple computers HP or acer or Asus the performance runs way better with ASUS so Again
Settings> Network>web server> disable and Change 80 to 8080 Change the web interface to HEX
any help email me at ajg1915@gmail.com
