      I'm wanting to know this becuse I like taking Kodi and retropie with me when I go on trips. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

        I can't speak to the hotspot issue, but having a web browser of some sort on the Pi for connecting to hotel openwifi will also work. Without the browser, you'll be at the mercy of calling whatever in house tech support they may have to relay your Pi's MAC address personally. Something as simple as Lynx will do.
