Fightcade to Retropie

Hi All, I was wondering if sometime in the future it would be possible to get something like fightcade to the Pie? I love the notion of being able to play games like Street Fighter online against someone else.
I know that RetroPie has NetPlay, but as far as I understand that doesn't allow any random match making, meaning that you have to setup a match against someone that you know, instead of playing against someone random in the community.FightCade is available for Linux and plays the older FBA romset...

Random match making could be great, but honestly, how many people could be playing to the same rom at the same time? maybe you will get long long looong time waiting for getting one fight On.

@flop You don't have to be playing the same game at the same time. The match making software only has to see that the other person has the same rom and then you can send an invite to start a match.

There has been an update to NetPlay in general that supports something called "Net Rooms" which would be similar to random match making. However it doesn't work on Retropie at the moment.
