@heinric1 you need to add game roms before many emulators will show on the main screen.

Read through this: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/ and follow the guide specifically the part on transferring roms, an you'll be fine.

Retropie in a Saturn Controller - Pi Zero, GPIO controls using DB9 driver
      Retropie in a PSX - Pi3

Thanks for insight!! Ok, I downloaded one rom and followed the instructions on tranferring it to the Retropie. When I look through the directory the file appears in the rom folder. It's Ms. Pacman for Atari2600. When I reboot the system, still nothing shows up.

@markyh444 I have added several roms now for 3 or 4 differents systems (emulators). Still can't do anything after rebooting system.

@heinric1 Have you checked to see if you have parse gameslists only turned on? I think this skips updating the XML file that lists the games in ES.

@markyh444 That was the issue. I had gone through so many menus and tried changing so many different settings to try to get things running, that I must have turned on the parsing and forgot to turn it back off! I have quite a few games up and running now, my son is going crazy! I switched from using SD card to transfer files to using an SFTP link using WinSCP. It's awesome! Thank you very very much for your help!! It got me going when I was about ready to quit trying. Got it working at about midnight last night.
