@HurricaneFan said in Arcade bezels instructions:

@space-invader Most of the games you listed don't have overlays.

        Try to test just pacman...

You should have the following files in the below folders. Does that match what you see on your pi?

        /home/pi/roms/arcade
        pacman.zip.cfg
        pacman.zip

        /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/overlays/arcade-bezels/
        pacman_udb-ovl.png
        pacman.cfg

First folder should be /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/arcade and there only are The zip files

The other, inside /overlays is /arcade-bezel-overlays, not /arcade-bezels

@space-invader If you are using different folders you need to edit the .zip.cfg file so that points to your directory; then you place the overlay files manually in your folders as suggested by @HurricaneFan (.zip.cfg goes in the same folder of rom; .png and .cfg into the overlays folder)

@UDb23 I have not changed the default folders, but /roms/arcade is in /home/pi/RetroPie not in /home/pi at least in the image I downloaded yesterday...

And the other one I am not saying I have changed the folder's name but the folder beeing created - I supposse by rp-video-manager - is named /arcade-bezels-overlays, not /arcade-bezels, as said by HurricaneFan.

I don't know whether I am beeing understood or not...

@space-invader I goofed on the rom folder path. You are correct about that.

@space-invader I messed up the path only for the rom location. The overlays folder is correct.

The overlay images and config files should go in:
                  /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/overlays/arcade-bezels/

note: you can place those PNG and cfg overlay files basically where you want. The .Zip.cfg on the other hand must be in the same folder as the game ROM.
For everything to work make sure that path INSIDE the cfg files points to YOUR folders/files.
@Floob tutorial and tool use overlay folder names that are different from my setup; that's why tool probably is not working with my overlays, unless you edit the cgfs first
                    Hope this helps.

@UDb23 I realized that Floob's tool and your setup are different things I think, yes?
I'd like the bezels with the CRT look inside, which would be the path to get this? rp-video-manager?
