I just got my Pi and I've got it all set up. All of the emulators are working fine with my Wii U Pro Controller, but when I launch Kodi the controller doesn't do anything.

    -I've downloaded this xml (https://github.com/notspiff/kodi-cmake/blob/master/system/keymaps/joystick.Nintendo.Wii.U.Pro.Controller.xml)

    -Renamed it to joystick.xml

    -and placed it in /home/pi/.kodi/userdata/keymaps/

As far as I can tell, I've followed this tutorial (https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/KODI) perfectly but the controller still has no effect in Kodi.

If anyone has any experience using the pro controller with Kodi I'd very much appreciate any help.

    Thanks!

@nosunlight In Kodi go to System > Settings > System > Input > Configure attached controllers. There is No WiiU Controller option The default based on a 360 will probably be the closest. Configure the controller manually from there. Click the controller name on the left first.

I'm at that menu with the 360 controller layout, but when I try to assign the buttons to my wii u pro controller nothing happens. It seems its just straight out not recognizing it.

@nosunlight Did this get fixed magically for you by the update? 'm using Kodi 18.1 on Retropie 4.4 and while all the games on retropie run fine, the controller has no response in Kodi. Any other things you might have changed that could fix it for me? Cheers!
