Multiple version of same game
-
I don't find the solution to manage correctly multiple version of same game.
For example on genesis system i have the rom of sonic :
- Sonic the Hedgehog (USA, Europe)
I would like to have 2 entries in retopie menu :
- Sonic the Hedgehog (USA) with US cover, lauching the genesis plus core with region_detect = ntsc-u (60 hz)
- Sonic the Hedgehog (Europe) with PAL cover, lauching the genesis plus core with region_detect = pal (50 hz)
Does someone can help me to configure this in retropie?

You would have to set region detect to auto (you can't make that setting on a per-rom basis as far as I know), and I'm not sure if that will actually work with PAL if the game also has a 60hz mode. You could use a different core for PAL games, I suppose, but not every system has two good cores.
Everything else you want to do is doable. But you'll have to download artwork and edit the gamelist.xml manually, as the scraper will only favor one (megadrive) over the other (genesis) depending on your setup.

@Lyle_JP maybe you can save per ROM core options and achieve the two scenarios for the two Roms?

I think the good way id to create 2 core option files and launch the game with correct option file depending u want to launch in jap 60hz or use 60 hz or pal 50 hz.
Is possible in gamelist to set the lauching command specifically for each game?
