@Grila I like this a lot, and you are right, the more themes the better.

Edit: Just looking at your xml... those are some very specific <pos> numbers.

My ES themes: MetaPixel | Spare | Io | Indent

Thanks @mattrixk , your Spare tutorial is actually what got me started on this. It really breaks down the process and is easy to follow, so thanks for that.

As for the <pos> numbers, heh, yeah. It was easier for me to just copy from the Windows Calculator than to re-type the digits so I just left them as they were.

And now that I'm thinking of it, I should probably give you and Spare a shout in the XML since it was the basis for this. I'll add that tomorrow when I get to work. My apologies for overlooking that before I posted it here.

@Grila No worries mate. It always feels good when something you've done has been a help to others. When I get some free time I'm going to update the Tutorial with the Video Preview stuff and the new Carousel Mod (once it's approved).

I get my sizes from a 1280x720 photoshop file. I set the size to percent (instead of pixel) and have a 100x100 grid, so each grid line is at 1% width or height. I find it works really well for me.

                  I've gone and created a pull-request https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/pull/1924 , do you have any objections? :)

@Grila In order for this to be backwards compatible with older ES, video view should be implemented something like this:

                      https://github.com/RetroPie/es-theme-carbon/pull/20/commits/e388e3d5c10be4218fc6c3b3ec1157d35543111e

Tried to install this theme on Retropie, and it is very messed up. White background, no images for the consoles, the descriptions and games lists are positioned so they fall off the bottom of the screen, not at all what it looks like in those screenshots. I wonder what I did wrong??

There is a bug with 4.3 retropie update; PSP images are not showing well (black wallpaper etc).

@sub_atomic Sounds like you need to upgrade your packages to get the white background to stop.

My most favourite theme by far. Great job!

There is only one thing that is missing for me - MS-DOS support. Do you have plans updating it in near future?

@spiky I can add it within the next few days. I also need to update it for the new collections. I'll post here when its updated.

@grila I love your Fundamental theme! I'm trying to modify the theme for systems not included in your original theme (Atari Xegs for example) and I'm struggling. I copied another Atari theme and it works for the most part, but I can't change the main console name in the main menu when selecting. I know this is an old post, but if you're still around, could you help please?

                                        Thank you.
