Libretro Vice 3.0

Libretro Team has just announced that a port of the VICE 3.0 emulator is available.
Full news here.
They say Linux is supported. It seems not everything is polished right now but it would be nice to get a Retropie Libretro Vice in the near future.
Not sure this will provide better performance but we'd get all standard Libretro functionalities; including overlays ;-}

It would be good if they could get full speed ReSID instead of that weird sounding FastSID. At the moment, ReSID still makes the sound crackle and sound nasty even on a Pi 3. (It would be good if they could also update 'lr-fuse' as well, it's still on v1.1 ! I asked several times on Github about a year ago for v1.2 and v1.3 and he said 'Yeah, i'll update it' and he never did).

@windale audio plays fine on my RPI3 with resid-fp - CPU hungry, but the rpi3 can handle it. Make sure you have any video filters off. I doubt it will get faster since they are using the redis-fp fork of resid, which is slower than the previous resid emulation (but more accurate).

I have added the libretro core, but I wouldn't recommend it over the standalone emulator as it's still a WIP.

@BuZz Where's 'resid-fp' ? I change the SID model to 6581 (ReSID) and after a few seconds you can hear pops in the background and sometimes the sound completely disappears for a second. Are you overclocked ?

@BuZz I think I sussed it out. I have the Refresh Rate set to 1/1, this gives perfect scrolling but on some SID tunes the sound starts to pop and cut out. If I set the Refresh Rate to Auto then the audio is fine but the scrolling jerks. You must be in jerky scrolling mode. A SID tune that can demonstrate this popping is 'Cauldron', not a great tune but a good example.
