Arcade sends me back to console

I have the raspberry and my pc both plugged to my to monitor, pc is plugged to dvi and the rpi by hdmi.

If I open an SSH session from my pc to the rpi, and then I write "emulationstation" to load it , just had to choose hdmi as input on my monitor, and I can play with all emulators.

But right now, arcade emulator is send me to the rpi console for 2 o 3 seconds when I load a rom, and then come back to the arcade menu, without load any rom.

This happen with ALL my arcade roms; but rest of emulators (nintendo, sega, etc) works fine, as ever.

If I load emulationstation from the raspberry directly (non ssh session) arcade works fine.

I have no idea what can be the problem, it worked fine until yesterday, and I don´t know what is the problem... I remember I configured a second gamepad and did a scrape for arcade roms, but I think it worked after that... (not sure)

Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be?

What type of arcade roms are not launching and which emulator do you have set to launch them with? The short of it is, if you are launching a MAME rom from the arcade menu, then you should select a version of MAME to launch it with. The same goes for Neo-Geo and Final Burn Alpha. ALL arcade roms fails. Are romset .106, and the emulator launched is AdvMame 1.4. Tried mame4all, ir- mame2003, etc, with the same result.
But they worked before from ssh console ... and are working If I load emulationstation from raspberry console...

Maybe any kind of file permission changed after I did an scrape? If am not sure if emulationstation was close when I did it...

What happens if you just let the pi boot normally into Emulation Station and then just switch over to hdmi when you're ready to use it with your gamepad? I use ssh for maintenance, but am admittedly unfamiliar with using it for any general gaming purpose.

Then it works fine. Fails only when I load emulationstation from ssh console.

It is not designed to be launched from ssh console.

But it worked fine for weeks... I want to know why isn´t working anymore... something must be changed when I did a scrape or added a second gamepad...

can't advise without a log (eg /tmp/runcommand.log) - but you are using the system in a way it was not designed, so you will have to debug it yourself.
