Coloured/tinted shaders?
-
Are coloured shaders a thing? A shader to add a coloured tint to your display, if not how easy could it be done with out physically adding a filter to the screen?
-
Don't know if it's normal, but when I enable crtpi, the screen is clearly coloured in green...
If it's not a bug on my system, then what you want is at least possible :) -
I use that shader and have never noticed :/ I'll have to have another look
-
Nevermind, i just tested some options and it's definitely from my side.
I once disabled overscan on my TV ("all pixels" mode) to not interfere with the raspberry one (it does nasty vertical lines with shaders).
But since then, the effective used screen is way smaller than the TV, so I also disabled overscan in /boot/config.txt.
The screen is full now and no vertical lines with shaders (victory !), but as soon as I activate crt-pi the image turns green (crap !). Pretty strange side effects...Whatever, sorry for the disturbance.

@__Scannigan__ There are some colored shaders allready! Like for the GameBoy which adds the green color to the screen
-
@DarkWolf oh yeah how did I forget that?
-
@__Scannigan__
Huh, that really helped? -
@DarkWolf yeah it did
-
@__Scannigan__ I can't be the only one curious about what you're trying to achieve:)
Anyway, a potentially easier way to achieve it is via a transparent colored overlay. Should be easier on the CPU than a proper shader, so even though it's not technically answering exactly what you asked for, it might be an option.

@pjft that could work
-
So how do I add shaders, and where can I download them?
-
@itsnitro There is a wiki page for that:
