      @Arcanjohack

I google searched that error message and looks like to be a gpu memory issue.
The Futura theme using 1920x1080 images is heavy on the resources.

You need to increase the VRAM, the option is available in one of the menus. I had the same issues when using the default value, I increased it to around 800-1000 and haven't had any issues since. You can probably use a lower value, just have to mess around with it to see what works.

Finally I solved my problem. I replaced ES.
          This compilation is softest.

The videos runs very well with all tested themes
          https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/8734/please-test-random-game-selection-launch-via-video-screensaver

The Dev include OMXplayer, and you can change in options menu.

I appreciate for all help received

            Great theme!

I've been working on building my image with particular interest in many old and obscure systems. Through trial and very little error, I've managed to create a couple of The menu pages that don't exist, and I'll be adding more to my setup as I continue building. So far I have added a page for ZX Spectrum and Infocom (z-machine). I would be happy to share them (and any others I make) if you are interested.

For some reason I can't get my phone to post pictures, but I'll drop them as soon as I'm back by a computer...

You drag n drop the pictures into your reply while you're typing it and wait for it to upload. Depending on the size of the files and your internet speed, it might take some time so be patient ;-)
Also sometimes you have to put an extra carriage return after where your cursor is for it to work.

@backstander Yeah, I tried all the methods. I keep getting a 'Something went wrong while parsing server response" error.

I thought maybe it was Safari, but I tried in Firefox too. No dice.

I'll be happy to add those 2 to the theme.
Just send me the files or give me a link for download and I see that those get added.

@FlyingTomahawk Sweet. I'm cutting some of the copy on the Z-machine version, and I'll post in a few.

Also, I plan to make panels for Intellivision, AmstradCPC, and Apple II, and maybe macintosh. Basically any system that I'm experimenting with that I encounter without a panel, I'm going to make for myself, so I might as well share them. Expect those updates in the coming weeks.

Also note, I changed the .SVG for Intellivision to blue, because I thought the gray looked boring. I've seen it in some places as black, gray, or blue.

If you want to revert, you can grab the gray .SVG from Carbon.

Totatlly subjective, but I think the blue Looks nicer.

I suppose it's good you haven't updated this yet. I discovered one of my screenshots on the Infocom panel was wrong. I used a screen from "Beyond the Titanic" which is nice and colorful, but apparently NOT made by Infocom and therefore not compatible with the Z-machine emulator. (It's an MS-DOS game.) I'm going to update that, and I'm making an Apple II panel, so I'll just re-bundle ALL of the ones I've made and repost here.

Can you also include the original screenshots inside the new package? So that I can recreate them for the 10px version.

Yikes. I deleted those already. No biggie, I can get them again. I know what I searched.

Also...I can help on the 10px images, as long as I have examples to go by. If you want to just link me matching images, I can make whatever adjustments I need to for those versions.

                                          Dear Mr. Tomahawk,

I would like to ask your opinion on the screen grabs for the infocom (zmachine) panel. I'm stuck trying to decide what to do.

I may be saying things you already know here, so forgive me, but I want to make sure I provide full context for the question.

The Zmachine wasn't hardware, like all the other things being emulated on a Retropie system. It was a software that made text adventures easily port to other systems, like the Amiga, C64, and PC. Therefore, there isn't really a standard of how the Zmachine screenshots should look…UNLESS, that is, if you believe they should only display in the manner that Retropie (via Frotz) will run them…

But that makes them sort of…well…ugly. The version of Frotz running on Retropie doesn't handle graphics. So if I use that measure, they'll all just be text. For some games, like Journey: The Quest Begins, I can't even find text-only screenshots. And the ones that have color pictures look really nice.

Should I choose a shot that reflects exactly the way the games will display with the weak text interpreter in Retropie? Or choose what looks better, even though it won't run quite that way under the Zmachine emulator?

I have used Zork 3 and Hitchhiker's guide (both text-only) in the left and right, so we're only talking about the center panel here.

                                            Hmmm...
So you need to decide between a good looking image that won't be like that in the actual game on Retropie or a ugly image that shows the actual game play?
Just go with the good looking one. If someone find it not to be a good match he can create his own screenshot later by using the layouts that are included with every Futura theme.
I had many users that liked my Futura theme but changed some of the screenshots because they felt that the ones they chose are the better ones. It is up to the end-user to choose whether he keeps the original screenshots or changes them.

Just go ahead and create them as you think is right and I'll upload them and if someone has a better idea he can comment here in this support topic and I can adjust the screenshots later anytime.

And one more thing, please don't be so formal. Hey Tomahawk! or Hey! Is good enough. ;-)
