@lilbud HA! I didn't wan't to say K.I.S.S. as some people take it in the wrong way... but totally.
-
Maybe instead of the console you could put a picture of the controller.
-
I like option 2 better.
-
-
Very "rough and ready" Just a mock-up.
-
@AlexMurphy
I would be super into this if we could have them animated, such as Sonic tapping his foot, but sadly we can not. -
@Syhles It would be cool if ES supported animated

files. Unfortunately not. -
@AlexMurphy Sadly, while the character idea looks nice, it could be too difficult to tell between systems.
Think of how many systems Sonic is on.
-
@lilbud I totally get that. I was just thinking of the "iconic" figures for certain systems. Sorry for hijacking your thread, but it's good to just throw around ideas sometimes.
-
Hey, I actually like these mockups!
-
@itsnitro They are just VERY rough ideas, I kinda kike them too.
-
Especially this one. I'm a big Nintendo fanboy.
Although maybe we should replace the mario logo with the controller of the system.
Also, just a side note: Can we arrange the systems by company? e.g. One folder containing all of the Nintendo Games with an icon. -
@itsnitro Yeah, I can do all that because I am a magician! look over there..!
-
looks to where @AlexMurphy is pointing.
WHY IS THERE A HUGE MINI-FRIDGE?
-
@itsnitro
-
@AlexMurphy Did you just make that image?
-
@AlexMurphy XD
-
@lilbud Yeah. Err, no, my GF just took my pic.
-
I see good mockups but those are major systems and fairly easy to do. Especially those with characters. It gets tricky though when you have to do systems like Ports, Amiga, SG-1000, Apple II, Amstrad, Atari and so on... Some systems only survived 1 year on the market and are difficult to find images, screenshots...
I would say go with the second mockup in the first post. Text only should be quick and easy.
Update to other icons later if necessary. -
@FlyingTomahawk Yeah. I agree. Who was the standout "character" on the Vectrex for example? That triangle from Mine Storm? Or the 2600? A smurf / 9 blue pixels and 3 white ones...
