Hello everyone, I'm working on my first Retropie adventure and am having absolutley no luck with getting PC Engine/TG16 iso's to run. I have used all the suggestions from this post along with a few others posts. The github tutorial doesnt seem to help either. Currently I have a syscard3.pce in my BIOS folder. I also have the same bios file in the pcengine folder. I'm trying to run Dracula X. in the pc engine rom folder the bin and cue are. I attached screenshots of my opened .cue file, the pcengine rom folder, and the BIOS folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm truley stumped right now...

I think this is an easy one and others may comment, but you need BIN & CUE file. It is NOT going to load that ISO file. Just look at my screenshots above in this article.

Guys, I learned that I need to rename the .cue files. Yet I could not open that kind of files via Mac OS. Mac users please assist how to fix it. Many thanks m(_ _)m

This is very old info. .iso works just fine (with a proper .cue), currently. I have a dozen PCE-CD games that are .iso files and play perfectly, but just like with .bin, the name in the .cue file must match exactly, including case.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be a corrupted BIOS file - might be worth trying one from somewhere else...

@chip Make sure the bin filename inside the cue file matches the actual bin file? Read up on some examples: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/PC-Engine
Follow the instructions and your games will always work. The only way a game might NOT work, is if you're using the USA bios and happen to come across a game that's not compatible. My syscard3.pce has a checksum of ff1a674273fe3540ccef576376407d1d and works with every game I have.

@chip From the command line change directory into BIOS by cd RetroPie/BIOS then type md5sum name_of_file.extor if it is in your ROMs folder cd RetroPie/roms/pcengine
