I got a little problem with nearly every theme on a CRT. The only theme, which displays nearly perfect is "pixel". With a 240p resolution it is not possible to display small fonts, but with the "CRT Centered" theme for example the fonts are big enough, but looks like a little destroyed.
When i manually edit the theme and make fonts bigger, the problem is the same. :-( Any suggestions?

My suggestion is to download and use this theme instead: http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1549

I'm using it myself on my Trinitron. Looks great on a crt. πŸ‘

thank you very much. the font looks good. it's not a very actual theme, so i have to add the β€žArcadeβ€œ System and i think i replace the colors and add video support etc. but thats no problem. :-)

There are so many themes, but no perfect one so far.

I found out the solution for the problem. The font only looks destroyed when a β€ž:β€œ or β€ž-β€œ is in the scraped name.
When i delete all : or - this game looks good, but others game names looks are the problem. It's so confusing! There must be a solution i have to find.0_1496907722724_IMG_1026.JPG

The other reason could be the timing I use or an not really perfect in emulationstation. Fonts on games, bootscreen and retropie option menus are perfect.

@funkybunch even in hd fonts are garbage. Im not going to pretend they look good at all. Theyre readable at best. Emulationstation distorts them. I suppose if you knew the exact magic font sizing to make it display correctly it might be ok. But the way emulationstation resizes them is terrible. It is the same with pictures. I have made simple consoles pic and stopped making more because emulationstation trashed them so bad. There would be a half of a solid line missing.

@edmaul69 yes... emulationstation is not the best solution, but it's simple and works (mostly). Ich think i have to set the perfect size for the font in relationship to the font itself and size of the gamelist. now i got a perfect size at <fontSize>0.0483333333333333</fontSize> :-D but with another theme. If i set the same size and use the same .ttf in other themes it's ugly as before. So i use my simple customized theme until there is a better solution.

https://github.com/anthonycaccese/es-theme-crt-tft this one works well. The Video does not fit cause of the z-index, but i think there will be a solution soon :)

CRT... I watched a fun video on those TVs before... just incase anyone is interested, here it is.

N64 emulation is the next step :)
