      So I have roms installed and they are visable. However, when I select a game and try to launch the emulator it appears to try to launch the emulator but instead it just backs out to the game list.

        When they give the option to press a button to configure the game go in it and see if it uses another emulator type as well because it helped with certain emulation for me.
        If you do not see any you might need to download another one in the RetroPie Setup under manage package followed by manage optional packages.

          Have you installed the necessary 7800 BIOS file? More information can be found here.

          RetroPie v4.5 • RPi3 Model B • 5.1V 2.5A PSU • 16GB SanDisk microSD • 512GB External Drive
