If you haven't fixed it yet.

Go to Retropie configuration and choose "Bluetooth"
Now choose "Register and Connect to Bluetooth Device" and while it's searching push the power button on the controller. That should be all.

Hi i am just curious guys but for RetroPie 4.2 i would like to know is there any conflict with using 2 or 3 PS3 controllers because most video's i watched people usually had a PS3 and a Xbox controller for playing multiplayer games.

I frequently use 2 official PS3 controllers at the same time, without any issue.

Alright thanks because my friends only owns PS3 consoles so when i would bring my Pi to their place don't want to have some kind of conflict.

The point is, he'll have to pair his controller with your RPi, and after re-pair it with his PS3 (DS3 only can pair with on device).
Also note that PS3 controller driver disable normal bluetooth stack, so you can't use a ps3 controller wireless with another BT controller.

@Sano not true at all. You can use them together. You have to pair other bluetooth devices before you install the ps3 driver. However, if you want to pair more bluetooth devices, you just uninstall the ps3 driver, pair the new devices, then reinstall the ps3 driver. Works perfectly fine that way.

@Brigane I had an extra arcade stick kit, and I found this. I ordered the single-player one and he makes them and sends them out fast. You just need to assemble the pieces and glue together. https://www.etsy.com/shop/WorkshopMatt?ref=search_shop_redirect

Looks nice, the only problem is I live in Danmark so the toll fee will be to expensive. A European seller would be better :)

@BGallagherLA i just sent a question about getting one without all the holes on the side pieces. These look cool. Thanks for the link.

@itsnitro It means Left, not neccesarily left-handed.
It comes from the left and right side of a coat of arms, Sinister and Dexter.

I used a DS4 with the USB reciever.
I tried over bluetooth but the ds4drv software caused my pi3 to overheat even on the ES menu.
with the USB dongle I have had no problems at all.! its a great controller

The thing is i plan on using it only wired not by bluetooth since i use a bluetooth keyboard for my Pi as well.

It looks cool and all but would be cooler just buying the wood and making your own design instead like as an example when i end up building mine i am going to use clear blue akrilik around the sides while using a white LED in it.

PS4 controller since that was the only controller I had. I must admit, it's the perfect controller for PSX gaming.

I use a pair of wireless Logitech f710 controllers. Kind of a one fits all solution.

I have tried 10-20 pads and personally think the Wii U is the best, but I have small hands xD

Gonna start working my way through the 8bitdo ones next

360 wireless controller. Work s fine with the dongle no hassle.
