Setting up SFTP through a mac

I'm having trouble connecting to SFTP via Mac too.

I have enabled SSH in the config menus and also tried putting a file called SSH in boot. Still no joy?

Have you managed to connect using SSH via Terminal? I would make sure that is working first so then at least you know the system is reachable and you have the right IP and logins etc.

I use a Mac and have been able to connect through Filezilla, Mac's built in Terminal, and vSSH. I like vSSH because it saves my password, unlike Mac terminal.

Here's the Filezilla Settings...

Of course, you'll need to know your Pi IP address, user name, and password.

@StuMcBill have you definitely got the correct IP address for the Pi? You should at the very least get as far as the login prompt if you have ssh enabled correctly on the Pi itself and wireless is working...

@chubsta yeah I definitely have the correct IP address, have enabled SSH in my pi, which has WiFi connected, ensured my Mac and pi are on the same network and still nothing.

I'll try again tomorrow and post up my results.

Ok, I've made sure that I have SSH enabled on my Pi, my IP address is correct and I have just tried connecting and I get the following error:

Connection Failed
Broken transport; encountered EOF. The connection attempt was rejected. The server may be down, or your network may not be properly configured.

On Terminal I get:

Connection closed by 192.168.0.xx port 22.

Any ideas?

The IP address of 192.168.0.xx is typically a router IP address, and port 22 is the SSH port. You may want to check to see if your router is blocking this SSH port.
