It's because Steven Selph's Scraper has options for better and more expansive databases than TheGamesDB.

@PokeEngineer Well I mean come on... its the #1 retro arcade of all time and its not being picked up? Ms.Pacman not being picked up at gamesdb? I just can't believe that. I must be doing something wrong. Makes no sense.

I have found it not working during times when the GamesDB website is very busy. I have then done the scrapes again at a different time and they worked. I think this is part of the issue that I have seen most frequently when trying to scrape. You can search on the site directly to verify it has it. I'm sure it has those two as I have successfully scraped them.

I can't speak for 'Dig Dug', But I've read that game titles with any non-alphanumeric characters are not handled properly by gamesdb. 'Pac-Man' and 'Ms Pac-Man' being ignored are supposedly a result of this issue.

Pretty sure both games can be scrapped via TheGamesDB. The thing is sometime you need match the names precisely. For examples, on Atari 2600, search "Pac-Man" won't work but "PacMan" will give you the correct result. This can be quite an headache when the name contains special char like ½, and when you need to distinguish between hyphen-minus (-) and en-dash (–). Generally, you should visit TheGamesDB.net before scrapping to see how your titles are displayed there exactly.

Other times, you may need to search the same string twice before the result shows up. Not sure why though, may have something to do with special chars. Hope they will improve this feature in the future.

@PokeEngineer Can you shut off changing the game list names when scraper with Selph's scraper?

Something I have noticed with the ES scraper is that it will intermittently not scrape names that have a word with 3 characters or less, for example any "WWF" game. I only use the Steven Selph's Scraper as a result.

More information and a few potential workarounds for ES can be found here. Still, as already stated, it's best just to use Steven Selph's Scraper.
