ES themes ready for favorite, all games, recently played and custom-collections

I tried updating my carbon theme but it still doesn't have the virtual systems. Anyone know how I can get the version that supports it? Thanks

Did you also update Emulation Station? If so, are you able to enable the feature from the 'start' options menu?

@mediamogul Yes I updated emulationstation - I see the new 'collection' option in the menu now but when I go and enable it I get the message about the theme (carbon) not supporting it. It still works, just the image for the virtual systems is plain text.

I browsed the path '/etc/emulationstation/themes/carbon' and I don't see the 3 auto-* folder in there.

I tried another theme 'hurstyblue' and the virtual systems' images are all there and works fine.

I also tried uninstall and reinstall the theme from esthemes but the carbon theme it pulls still doesn't have the image for collections. Is the carbon theme updating pulling its data from:
'https://github.com/RetroPie/es-theme-carbon' ? If so it looks like the auto-* system isn't in there yet?

I just want to say thanks to @cyperghost for being the one to actually update IO.

It was a real pleasure and it's unbelievable how much time must be invested to get a good looking theme. So creating a theme is really hard work - nothing in comparison in creating a few icons (that were already created and just need to be arranged). So my deepest respect to the theme creaters out here.

That's strange, I updated this way and it had the collections functionality.

@mediamogul Ah I see so it's intended that the carbon theme's collection be plain text for now with images to come later. Thanks for the clarification. (I was expecting the image to be there for the default theme after the update.)

I don't know who created it or maintains it, but I've been praying for a while now that someone would update the Carbon Nometa theme to have video support. Now that this new feature is available if it was updated to have video support and then these new categories, it would be my 100% end all favorite theme. Sadly I can't use it still because my whole set up has videos now. Does anyone know who could do that? They would be my new best friend lol.

@herb_fargus oh that's awesome. I wish I knew how to do all that then. I would try it myself, but I don't think that's something I could handle. I'll either have to wait or figure out if there's a way to remove meta data from the basic carbon theme and center the box art/video like in the no meta.

I see. So is this why comicbook theme 'works' but there is just plain text for the section? Need to wait for the creator to update it properly.

@cyperghost My new theme "Maximus Pie" (the RetroPie version of the PC front-end Maximus Arcade) is also updated with the four new virtual machines and is ready to go.
