Hey guys, I think I rushed out in this answer... :(

The .git dir stores info about git commits. With repo with many images (as ES theme repos are) that dir can have dozens of MB. I thought it could be deleted because those files do nothing with EmulationStation itself. But if you delete them you will be unable to update the theme through RetroPie-Setup (wich uses the git protocol to manage versions).

@HurricaneFan if you already deleted it, please uninstall and reinstall the theme again to fix it.

For anyone using the All-Games feature, I realized the system logo was missing the drop shadow while I was working on the launching screens. I have updated the logo for all systems, just update from the ES Themes menu and the new logo should be there for you.

As promised, I have finally started some launching screens. I have my templates down now, but this will still take me a lot of time! I am working my way through the 16:9 screens and then will make 4:3 screens. I am creating 2 screens, Basic and Comic Rip. Thanks again to @Panther7 for the great inspiration and use of @meleu script.

@tmntturtlguy I've been doing well - somewhat busy, both at home and at work. Especially as I'm closing out quite a few things here at work, and starting to work out all the logistics for the move which will take place end of August/early September, which means taking care of houses, schools, work-related things, etc. somewhat time consuming, but overall can't complain. :)

I hope I'll have the chance to pick up the meatier work on the Collections these coming weeks.

Happy birthday to your little one then - hope you had a great time, and that she had a blast as well! It's always fun, though exhausting I can imagine :)

@zigurana I hope the Kids/Kiosk mode gets integrated into ES. Is this not in the cards at all?

@ruckage @meleu and all other Neo Geo fans - I am thinking about switching out the comic rip image for the Neo Geo system. Currently I have G. Mantle or Mr. Neo or Mr. G - lots of names for him.....he was the very first/original mascot for the system, he was later replaced as you all know by Terry Bogard. I am thinking of switching to Terry because he just is more recognizable. I was going for nostalgia at first, but i am not sure what the correct answer is? Thoughts?

@tmntturtlguy Yeah I call myself a NeoGeo fan but had no idea who that was until you just explained it. I think Terry should be the default, as you say he is way more well know and the calling card for the system (as is Metal Slug I'd say). Thanks!

That's tricky. I love that G. Mantle image you're using but I will always think of Terry as the Neo Geo mascot (mainly because Fatal Fury was the first Neo Geo game I saw and he features in so many Neo Geo Games).

This isn't much help but I think either is perfectly acceptable.
One cool thing about G.mantle is that his face/mask is kind of represented in the Neo Geo Logo:

Go for Terry and have G. mantle as the alternate. I like the G.mantle image but Terry will always be who I think of first with Neo Geo (notice my Neo Geo theme features Terry prominently).

@ruckage thanks! All the comic rip images are in the art folder and available for alternates, it is really easy for users who's know there way around notepad ++ to just change the file name for any system to modify the images they like!

I can't wait for the loading screens they look so awesome. It will really finish off the look and feel to the theme. A great addition. Thanks for all the hard work you share with us!

@serotonin I tried posting an update last night, but where I am currently traveling I am having issues with slow internet. I am just over halfway complete with the 16:9 screens.....only 52 systems left!

This launching screen makes me want to set up a light gun build! Almost done - only 26 more systems left for the 16:9 versions.
