@grungestranger Start the Raspberry Pi without anything connected to the Pi, just the keyboard (remove the gamepad, usb hubs, usb storage devices, etc). Then start Kodi, connect the gamepad and follow this to configure it:

Just do like I said, it is probably a conflict between your gamepad and your keyboard. There is a chance that your gamepad isn't supported in Kodi, but I really doubt the keyboard isn't. What is the keyboard model ? It can also be a power supply issue, so please try with another one also if it still doesn't work.

The keyboard works fine in system terminal of Raspberry Pi and in EmulationStation and in RetroArch... So it cann't be a power supply issue. My gamepads are bluetooth. When i'm starting system they are not connect . I connect only keyboard. Model of keyboard is Labtec Y-BM62.

Could it be that Kodi use Retroarch or emulationstation input configs?

No, uses its own configuration which is independant of the software you mentioned. Can you try another keyboard to confirm it is not your setup problem?

Unfortunately, I have no other usb keyboard.

Ok, i will show the situation.
I start RaspberryPi with connected keyboard.
Autostarts EmulationStation. I press F4 to quit.
I starts Kodi from terminal. (simple - command - kodi)
It starts. Buttons of keyboard don't work.
                  If I press Ctr + C - shows a black screen.
No terminal. All freeze. I cant use terminal.

                  It is normal?

                  And one more thing.
When I install or reinstall kodi from retropie-setup.sh - shows some problems.
It is part of install log - https://pastebin.com/ZpmGi1u9

No, of course it is not normal.
From the log the package policykit-1 isn't installed already and it might be needed for the keyboard to work.

@rascas Not sure if you got my email or not - I also mentioned this in another thread, but your http://dl.bintray.com repository is currently broken (permissions issue).

@buzz You can remove the bintray repo, the same Kodi version is now available in Raspbian Foundation repo.

@rascas ok thanks. Is it likely that they will keep the main repo updated it in a timely manner do you think ? Just wondering if it's worth keeping it around just in case for the future ?

@buzz I think so, they should be quick to update it.
