Could be an emulator issue (regression) or a missing BIOS file ?

Please add more info about your setup, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first, and a verbose log from the emulator. Use pastebin.com for posting the contents of the log file.

@mitu I agree, it should, but it doesn't. None of the buttons do anything. It's using the default button mappings that work fine for all my other 32X games, nothing different.

[EDIT] Ah, there was a Picodrive update available, that sorted it.

Yeah, it looks like I assumed the official doc was still the page I needed to check. I was able to find that now (although it was a bit confusing since those are two different things...settings vs controls). However, it's working now.

But now I'm wondering about something. None of the other emulators that use the six-button controllers require me to force the six-button settings in the Retroarch core first (or at least the Sega-based ones). With core remapping, I'm able to get them to cooperate. Would there be any benefit to turning on six-button in the other cores (where core remapping is already working fine)?

Are you running SS through the setup script or from the command-line? If script, do you have generate options >> remove bracket info (enabled)? (This is global, but maybe if 32x is the only system you've scraped since it changed or something.)

Beyond that, the contents of your /home/pi/.skyscraper/config.ini file might shed some light on what's happening. You can post it here if you can't make sense of it.

@fadangalini had one as a kid as well. Virtua racing and Virtua fighter are worth checking out.

Get a verbose log from lr-picodrie - see here how to enable it during startup - and post the log file contents on pastebin.com.

@saccublenda Ive found switching between discs was an issue when select-x to retroarch menu When using bin. and .cue roms. Try using just .iso roms for mutli disk games like night trap and ground zero texas. Worked for me

If it also happens on Kega Fusion, it's going to happen on real hardware.

If it's excluve to PicoDrive, try updating the core because there has been some major improvement in 32X emulation (exclusive to the core, not the base code).

Else, you'll have to live with it because there's no other portable open source 32X emulator (until it gets fixed).

@brad2600 im not sure if it is playable. I havent found a working rom either.
