@bytethis said in Issues using RetroPie forums with Mozilla Firefox:

@madmodder123 Better ad block software is ublock origin than Adblock Plus. Adblock got bought out and compromised. Conversation here : https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/7s7r4s/unable_to_get_playstation_bios_working/

      ublock origin : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UBlock_Origin

Ublock blocks more unwanted ads..popups..etc and 100% effective.

Apologize for going off topic in your thread.

Ah that seems to have been it, ublock origin is working fine for me now. Thanks for letting me know about adblock plus, I remember when they were on top, but I guess times change :/
Interesting though that it seems even though adblock plus was disabled for this website, it seemed to be causing the issue.

@herb_fargus Yes it should be, I indeed spoke about Pixel because it is easier to setup.
About the addon, I never took a look at its code but I am almost sure that in either case it wont work. For example in the raspberry pi, kodi must be closed to use any other graphical application, it won't be easy to change the addon.

What kind of hardware acceleration are you talking about exactly ? What you need exactly ? There are different kinds.
Yes you can enable the OpenGL open-source driver, and chromium will say that GPU acceleration is active, but from my tests, there are no benefits of running Chromium with the OpenGL open-source driver unless you need WebGL, for the contrary, you will loose video hardware acceleration for example.

If there is a way to use OpenGL on RetroPie, short awnser is no. At least not an easy way, and even if you could make some emulators work, it would be worse using de open-source driver.
