      @kane72 Ok I have tried that, switched to 4.3 and then attempt to launch and the Pi completely disconnects form the TV at that moment. I dunno. I'm ready to give up on this. I have made two posts and a great amount of time researching the internet for solutions with little responses either informing me that most people either just don't know or don't want to del with me on this. It is evident that some things are simple and self explanatory and other issues are much more complex and probably require an advanced knowledge of tech. I'm not sure if I would give my kids one of these things but on the flipside I have enjoyed learning the other aspects of the Pi. I will probably end up starting with a fresh copy of Retropie as all this screwing around has either erased files I have uploaded or change settings that I do not know how to fix. I do really appreciate your response .

      @Tigry Thanks for sharing your solution, glad you found it.

      Just for completeness, I was going to suggest that you could use @meleu's joystick-selection tool to see if your sticks are configured as player 1 +2. If not, that could've been the reason why they didn't work in RetroArch.

      @herb_fargus I see. I was going to modify the Wiki script to send a browser User-Agent with the wget download command, but in this case I better not.

      @pyterj Unfortunately it seems the download site doesn't allow direct download of the games, so you'll have to find a way to install them yourself. Sorry about that - as @herb_fargus said, there is a reason this script is not included in RetroPie proper and we can't get around that.

      Sorry for my late reply. Unison and rclone are programs to sync local or remote directories. Both are available in the official software repositories of Debian and thus, also in Retropie. Both can be used over an ssh connection, see Transferring ROMs how to enable ssh on Retropie.

      You can install them easily with these commands:

      sudo apt install unison sudo apt install rclone

      Further reading:

      Unison Manual: Remote Usage Rclone Docs: SFTP

      Finally, @jandalf81 has made a Setup script to sync saves to cloud services. Maybe it can be modified for your needs.

      @joserto86 Do you have a keyboard attached to the PI ? Please see the questions from https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first and try to give some answers so we can better grasp your configuration.

      My bad, I worded my issue incorrectly.
      I am having issues getting the palette to load at all.
      If I could get it to load, I know I can save the configuration for the specific ROM.

      NES has button B configured as "0", while SNES has button B configured as "2". SNES's "0" is button X. That's why my NES B button does a page-down in a game list instead of exiting the list, as well as why inside a game the B button does the same as the A button (NES games only see one bit for each button, so "2" becomes "0", which is button A). :-)

      "0" isn't A, so my logical thinking doesn't feel correct. :-) Anyway, in order to make things more clear, here are the two configurations:

      NES controller:

      input_device = "usb gamepad "
      input_driver = "udev"
      input_start_btn = "9"
      input_exit_emulator_btn = "9"
      input_up_axis = "-1"
      input_a_btn = "1"
      input_b_btn = "0"
      input_reset_btn = "0"
      input_enable_hotkey_btn = "8"
      input_down_axis = "+1"
      input_right_axis = "+0"
      input_state_slot_increase_axis = "+0"
      input_select_btn = "8"
      input_left_axis = "-0"
      input_state_slot_decrease_axis = "-0"

      SNES controller:

      input_device = "usb gamepad "
      input_driver = "udev"
      input_l_btn = "4"
      input_load_state_btn = "4"
      input_start_btn = "9"
      input_exit_emulator_btn = "9"
      input_up_axis = "-1"
      input_a_btn = "1"
      input_b_btn = "2"
      input_reset_btn = "2"
      input_enable_hotkey_btn = "8"
      input_down_axis = "+1"
      input_r_btn = "6"
      input_save_state_btn = "6"
      input_right_axis = "+0"
      input_state_slot_increase_axis = "+0"
      input_x_btn = "0"
      input_menu_toggle_btn = "0"
      input_select_btn = "8"
      input_y_btn = "3"
      input_left_axis = "-0"
      input_state_slot_decrease_axis = "-0"

      Just hope none of them enter the konami code.

      I think I have now resolved this issue - for anyone else who has suffered from similar woes, I quit out of Emulation Station and did

      sudo rpi-update

      to update the firmware. Now the left and up axes seem to be recognised properly - watch this space to see if I have other problems! (I'll bet good money that I do lol)

      for the current buttons, you can create bindings with udev (hwdb) but the triggers are not recognized

      if somebody could help us, thanx
