      @mitu ooohhhhhh!! That was the key, I only had the reference and was missing the actual -code- . Problem solved. Noy I get the video flipped. Thank you so much for your help.

      You can replace EmulationStation with any SDL/non-SDL app that uses a GLES/OpenGL context and you have the same result (i.e. RetroArch or Mame). There's nothing special about EmulationStation and you can achieve the same result with any of GL test applications from the libsdl2-tests, like testgl2 or testgles2 (from /usr/libexec/installed-tests/SDL2/).

      Please add more information about your system, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

      How did you install the drivers ? The root account doesn't have a password on the default Retropie image, you need to use the pi user and sudo to gain root access or run commands as root.

      @Semper-5 i use real discs in windows 3.11 so i havent had a need to make any win 3.11 conf files yet. I have probably around 100 games and software that run great on the pi in win 3.11. I havent found anything that has given me any troubles yet other than certain ms software that cant run in dosbox and trashes and crashes your windows folder install...
