Those are two good ideas. The .sh is just for the script that starts dos box, but yeah, using .conf would provide for more configurability for each game... I'll have to do that when I have time to do that for 230+ games, lol.

@KN4THX Thank you for that help. I never had a Genesis either, but that is what I know the machine as. I would definitely prefer to have the menu title say Genesis.

@mitu the Roms are in .zip format, I am running the latest version (can't test what it is at the moment as am at work) as I keep it up to date. I have used skyscraper so will delete the gameslist and try again - thanks for the reply

@Ikyrus are you familiar with the linux command line? if you could do this: ls -l /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/psx and then paste the output here?

Renaming roms on my USB stick results in duplicate entries in the list of games on EmulationStation

@jworkin after scraping your names will show up proper even if the filenames are a little less readable. You never want to change the filenames with mame as that is how they are identified by the scraper among other things.
