@dult-np ok I actually managed to compile but no rom would go past a black screen unfortunately. I guess we'll still have to stick to AetherSX2

Quasi88 (standalone or Libretro core) should be able to emulate it. Probably MAME also.

@duglor said in Apple 2 gs Emulators?:

Is GSPlus the only emulator right now that is capable of emulating the apple 2 gs?

No, there are several - see https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Apple_IIGS_emulators.

If no, are there any lr-XXXX emulators for it? Does lr-Mess work with it???

Yes, upstream MAME is included in RetroPie and can emulate (among other systems) the Apple2GS. There's no out-of-the-box configuration for it, so you'll have to add your own system for Apple2GS and the emulator command for the system.

@YFZdude You are right that the N64 was released before the Dreamcast.
But the development of the FF-Function in Input-Devices was initiated by SEGA for the Saturn, but came later with the dreamcast.
Nintendo was the first to bring it to the market after copying the idea (similar to the development of the mouse-controlled interface, which was seen by Bill Gates & Steve Jobs at their neighbour XEROX in Silicon Vally back in the 70s :D)

It's probably too much to ask as that's 100s of projects and updates to curate. i would guess that every day there's at least one update to a bit of software in retropie.

just 'watch' the relevant projects in github. eg https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup to receive update messages.

updates are also summarized in each retropie release: https://retropie.org.uk/news/

@fatfei said in Joystick not working in emulators:

I can move the joy stock to select different characters but when it comes to a race, I can't turn. I randomly chose another bye game and the stick doesn't work on that either.

I think this is because the N64 games were set up to only use the analog stick. If you mapped your joystick to the UP,DOWN,LEFT,RIGHT buttons, then that is the same as using the D-Pad. The analog stick has separate mappings. Something like Left Analog Up, etc.

@rasp_renegade hello. As with ColecoVision and Intellivision...all emulators....Google is your friend for any BIOS/ROM files. And also keep in mind, there are variations to some that you have to keep trying versions until you get the right one.

@ronson It should work. I've done that myself. Try following these steps: https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/f04z8l/how_to_add_lrflycast_as_an_arcade_emulator/
