@thetraingoes As per https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first, 3rd party images are not supported, since - as you discovered - each one has configurations that are non-standard for a RetroPie installation.

That being said, overlays/bezels are configured in RetroArch and you can disable them using the RetroArch GUI - bring it up with Hotkey + X while in game and disable the overlay/bezel. The image you're using might have specific RetroArch configs for the SNES core - see here. You can edit the SNES core configuration and remove the Overlay/Bezel lines for the SNES emulator.

@ExarKunIv I know this was some time ago, but I am trying to make my joystick act like a mouse in DOSbox. Do you remember where that file you made is stored?

      @mitu

I don't have a keyboard! I borrowed one from a friend so that I could enable ssh. I always log in from my laptop. Probably I should buy a cheap one for the raspberry, I know.

@mitu True. I forgot they added the favorites/recents. I was referring to just the metadata. Good catch

@ben-almonte Update to retropie 4.3. Reconfigure your controller. The last button to configure is the hotkey, so you can assign that to something other than select.

Phiuuu.... I had the same problem @CeZza_Gant .

First i updated BlueZ to version 5.37 from this link

      https://learn.adafruit.com/install-bluez-on-the-raspberry-pi/installation

There's a newer version (5.47 or something) but when i installed that one it didn't work.

Anyway... after following the instuctions for 5.37 suddenly it worked. Not sure what happened but it worked.

Turn On my Adafruit Feather 32u4 Bluefruit LE I entered to configuration ->bluetooth->Register and connect Retropie detects my BLE device and then connects Something happens there, the UI freezes so i have another keyboard connected to my RPi, Ctrl+C to go back to Emulation Station And that's it. The feather's blue LED is turned on and connected to the RPi You go to configure input and the feather is detected as a keyboard.

It all was a trial and error, so, if my instructions doesn;t work, keep trying.

      Regards from Mexico!

@ethanmlego there is a very technical equation to determine the closeness of the fan, size and rating of cpu, and the size of the fan.

But I will simplify it as distance should be directly proportional to the size of the fan. Judging by the distance away I'd recommend the following fan:

Primary concern would be to have proper ventilation to pull out the hot air being dissipated by the heat sink. I would recommend trying a few different placements while checking the temp from the terminal to see what works best.

A "charger" is not a PSU and is not designed to supply a stable steady flow of power. This is fine when it comes to charging a mobile device, not when it comes to powering the PI. Get a dedicated hard-wired (not plug and USB cable combo) PSU, preferably an official Raspberry Pi one and say goodbye to the lightning bolt.

One way you could do it is to get an Capture Card (like an Elgato) and then Record it from your PC Screen.

Ok according to a post I've found, apparently I need to put both in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg and /opt/retropie/configs/snes/retroarch.cfg

but I still have the problem. Do I really need to add it inside each retroarch.cfg emulator ?
