I was instructed in one of the threads on here to make an alias to the folder on the usb drive containing the roms and just replace the folder in the retropie roms folder with the same named alias. That also works. One thing that I like about that is I could at any time just delete the alias and replace with a folder to return it to reading off the sd card, or you could have part of a folder on the usb and part on the sd (if you don’t mind having two subfolders in ES).

Thanks for the reply. Not the expected answer, but at least some clarification on the status quo.

Works for me. I will pay respect to what is found as formatting in a file (and not procject atm) and will format my edits accordingly.

And also pledge to other PR issuers to do the same (if they haven't done so in the past).

However, if the maintainers ( @herb_fargus , @petrockblog @psyke83 @BuZz ... ) have a informal list of format styles ready (or want to discuss/collect them here) I am more than willing to transform them in a formal formatter config with a formatting tool is easily available for the Linux and Windows platform.

      Cheers,

@meleu @cyperghost The export did the trick. It works now and doesn't break the other menu controls. πŸ˜„ Thank you for all the effort and explanations. I learned a lot today, as may others who stumble upon this thread, too.

I edited my opening post to a mere reference to @meleu's solution. 😌

My best bet is not to launch EmulationStation until you press that button. Now, how you go about it would require some investigation - I suspect if anyone would have done it, you'd have an answer by now.

      Best of luck.

@dolfan1994 ok. By the way, to be clear, the file is supposed to be either under configs->all->emulationstation or something like that. I can't exactly remember where, but if you get stuck I can check.

@GtBFilms I left in as much as the cardboard filler inside as I could to help in not slide while still letting the cables get where they needed to.

We cut it so close to the screen dimentions that overall it's a very snug fit. I suppose if you were really worried about it sliding around you could drill holes in the bottom of the table to match those found on the back of the monitor where I removed the mounting plate piece. Then it would just be screwed into place. Another alternative would be to put blocks in place on the table that prevent the screen from sliding rather than relying on the cardboard. So far I havent had any problems though

@Dopy25 said in How To Apply Raphnet Kernel Patch To Fix "Northwest" Drift:

I know the last comment on this was over a year ago, but I am having issues applying these patches. Has there been any update to this process?

I am having the exact same issue as @Dhrystone from above. Second patch fails at 1 out of 1 hunk, 3rd patch at 2 out of 4 hunks. I tried repeating the whole process, and even proceeding anyway, but the patch still does not apply, and without the second (and third?) the only difference is that now emulation station is constantly scrolling.

I know this is a serious Necro, but I'd rather not lose all the progress on the thread.

I'm seeing the same issue here as @Dhrystone and @Dopy25.

Is anyone with a bit more kernel compilation experience able to offer some advice here?
