So it seems to be fixed with the binary install.

Perhaps you had a bad internet connection while updating the packages for installing the source.

Did you have a crash while updating ?

Try to update/upgrade your pi with apt.
If all goes well you can try to install the source again.

@mitu Yeah, I am sorry... I did something that required it, and then neglected to change it back. Poor form.

@wihaedud I don't think that's a thing yet unfortunately, however this is apparently going to be fixed in the next RetroArch update.
