      I'm running on a Raspberry Pi 5 -

      For the Pi5, you need to run the '4k pages' linux kernel to prevent a few emulators crashing. Did you add kernel=kernel8.img to /boot/firmware/config.txt ? You also need to run the lr-flycast-dev core for full Naomi support, I'm not sure the original Flycast core has support for all Naomi games.

      That's worked a treat!

      Thanks for all your help.

      Tinkered the whole weekend without any success.
      I can activate crosshair when i choose "show lightgun options" in Retroarch but whatever i select (White, Red, .. ) it does not show up.
      Also i can bind the controls to whatever, does not move an inch.

      With Dreamcast Games it does work, but not with Naomi, i guess it is not possible and thats it.
      Waiting for furher updates;)

      @chaoseffect Done. It's possible it'll just lead to a "mute" moment, but it's worth a shot :D I'm happy to follow a lead, but I really just don't know where to go from there.

      Thanks everyone.
      It was due to bad dumps. I had bin files and a .zip romset solved the problem.
      The control issue came from the 8bitdo controller. I connected it like a switch pro controller and everything is fine again.
      I went further and replaced some of the original roms with dreamcast ports in order to use Redream. Really good perfs now !

      @genos98 said in Nomi system menu:

      @pscotto1234 L3 is supposed to be test mode (options mode) or if it isn't configured you can do it while playing a game by going into the retroarch menu then choose controls/port 1 controls/then set the L3 to test. R3 is set to service as default so yeah it just add coins if you press it.

      Ok, so how can I set options to have penalties when a match ends with a draw?

      @unknown No, the default theme (carbon) doesn't support them.

      @SireGo There are a few themes that support it - epicnoir or bluray (one of the many themes created by Dwayne Hursty - I think some of the other themes they created also support the new systems).

      @sirego said in Naomi bin/lst files:

      All of my Naomi roms are zipped .bin and .lst files which are no longer supported by lr-flycast

      The supported format is unzipped lst+bin and afaik it's still supported, even if it's highly recommended to not use it since this format is synonym of bad dumps. You can't convert bad dumps to good dumps.

      @mitu

      Turns out I'm a complete dope.

      I figured out what I've been doing.

      I thought I had been setting the rendering resolution of the game.

      What I had actually been setting was the Pi video output resolution over HDMI to the monitor.

      So in the end I now have my games running properly. They are being rendered at 640x480 in the emulator as they should, and I'm outputting dreamcast games at 720p to get a bit more performance. Every other system I left at the default output of 1080p.

      @harmeetsingh0013 You've bumped again a very old topic, even though I asked you not to. Also, per the forum rules - don't ask for ROMs. Come back when want to respect the forum's rules.

      @mitu said in Dreamcast/Naomi/Atomiswave no longer working.:

      There are a few - glaring - errors in your configurations:

      there is no /opt/openarena folder in a RetroPie installation, so your emulators.cfg files are wrong. You copied that from your previous installation, it's not compatible to the RetroPie installation, no wonder they don't work. Reicast doesn't support Naomi/Atomiswave ROMs and there is no lr-reicast in RetroPie (it's the former name for lr-flycast).

      If you have created custom folder for Naomi/Atomiswave ROMs, then you should install lr-flycast and then copy the emulators.cfg, from the dreamcast system to your new system configuration. Make sure you have a corresponding retroarch.cfg in each config folder, containing

      input_remapping_directory = "/opt/retropie/configs/<FOLDER>/" #include "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg"

      Gotcha. That's essentially what I did, since I have my ROMs on a USB drive, I just copied those cfg files. I didnt realize the dingus that had created that previous installation changed the directory structure (yet another plus to abandoning it).

      Well I'm on the right path now (get it?) to fix it. Thanks for the help, yet again.
