@Dekawar said in Help getting Amiberry to work on RetroPie Thanks:

@mitu have really been hoping an update would fix ..

If you have the right BIOS files (as specified in the documentation) and the game still doesn't work, then the issue might be the game. What game(s) are you trying to start, what is their filename and which emulator (lr-puae2021 or amiberry) are you using ?

If you start the Amiga test kit image, does it work ?

      Great! Thank you!

I also see the optimized settings I did for each game in there as well. Perfect!

@dankcushions hello, I am aware of how the crt image is generated, I just failed the properly explain the issue. But thanks to you, I revisited the config file once more and realized it was an overscan setting that was preventing the correct size of the image being displayed. Now everything works beautifully. Thanks a bunch.

@thepigamer Hey there and thanks for linking your post @George,

i was trying to get wine running now with your guide on your blog, but as i am not very experienced with all this linux stuff, i don't know where to put the wine Kernel or what the exact commands to build it are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@mitu Now Solved. A Big thank you for your help.

In the end I realised it was actually a faulty USB cable.
Swapped the cable and then the Xin-Mo was detected straight away. No need to install drivers. Configured the buttons for player 1 and was good to go.

I'm now going to research into joystick deadzones. There seems to be excess travel to activate the micro-switches which causes an in-game delay. I have Zippy joysticks but will research into an alternative that has a smaller deadzone for faster response delay.

I'm sure other people have experienced this, there must be a wealth of knowledge about better alternatives to the Zippy joystick.

I had a feeling that would be the case. I'll see if I can get the compatibility list updated and wait for Pi4.

Just to confirm that it isn't the ROM has anyone else managed to replicate this or got the game to run properly on a different emulation setup?

[edit] Panzer Front works just fine on the latest update of Reicast.

@mitu said in Pi3 B+ Stretch 3.5 audio out problems:

Seems similar to https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/17864/raspberry-pi-ridiculously-slow-when-splashscreen-service-is-enabled. Modify the /boot/config.txt and add

      audio_pwm_mode=0

then restart and check if it fixes your problem.

yes! adding that line worked, thanks for the tip!
