just started getting into pi's and command prompts and what not so i feel very green and dumb. thanks for the assist.

You don't need to use the command line at all. Our docs explain everything, even in video form if you'd like to.

Just as an update. Inolen has released a new build, 1132. This appears to work OK on my Retropie (Buster) build.

I installed it manually but I assume it will work to update from source through the Retropie menu.

      Thanks all for your help.

I'll keep an eye on that website as well. I don't really need all the extra crap, just the Pi. I intend to put it in a RetroFlag NES case anyway.

Hope your monitoring rpilocator. More Pi4B (4gig) were added to Adafruit this morning.

The issue seems to be specific to RetroArch, standalone emu like ReDream look both sharper and don't have screen tearing.

In RetroArch.cfg i've already set the following to no avail:

      video_refresh_rate = "50.000000" video_vsync = "true"

@mitu Removing the overclock didn't help unfortunately. Here's the rest of the info to the best of my ability

Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 4B
Power Supply used: CanaKit 3.5A Raspberry Pi 4 Power Supply (USB-C)
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.8
Built From: Pre made SD image from raspberry pi imager v1.6.2
      USB Devices connected: None
Controller used: 8bitdo Pro 2 (connected with bluetooth
      Error messages received: N/A
      Verbose log (if relevant): N/A
      Guide used: N/A
      File: N/A
      Emulator: N/A
      Attachment of config files: https://pastebin.com/BKrPS3Z5
How to replicate the problem: Connect RPi4 to CRT, test output using 2nd color bleed check in 240p test suite Mega Drive ROM (press A once on color bleed check).

If someone could replicate the test on their own device I would really appreciate that. I have a feeling it might be like this on all Pis and has just gone unnoticed by most people.

@mitu tried changing out the wires and that didn't work, so I guess I'll have to get a replacment button

@mitu I was overcomplicating the problem. Apparently I just needed to push the HDMI cable a little harder into the port. 🤣

The more you know. That probably should have been the first thing I tried, but thanks for the help!

never mind because i put the on/off switch in the middle. ugh. it says on the website that this battery bank stays on, but it goes to sleep after inactivity. does anyone have any reccomendations on a dual output usb battery bank that charges via a micro usb port and stays on? and is relatively small?

That's hilarious. I just removed the xboxdrv driver as well as the xpad driver. Both pads working, recognized as XBox 360 controllers. Configured in the menu. Back to the issue where the 8BitDo controller works great, and everything but the D-Pad seems to work on the generic SNES controller.
