      Let me repeat my previous question - do you have a system override where the RetroArch settings are different for the gba system ? Is your gba system's configuration file custom/different from the default that RetroPie installs ?

      Post the config file (/opt/retropie/configs/gba/retroarch.cfg) on pastebin.com. If you can, get a verbose log from RetroArch during this occurence and post it also on pastebin.com

      @lostless Yep, the wireless router, PS5, pi, Nintendo Switch and smart TV are all within a couple meters of each other in the living room. Like I said, I didn't experience any issues using the pi upstairs. Thanks for your help here, I never would have considered that to be the issue.

      I might just have to go wired when using the pi in the living room as I don't have an option to move the wireless router.

      Now after another upgrade it seems to be running again. BT devices are visible again and I could successfully pair the PS4 controller again. Thanks

      @mitu

      Thank you so much!

      End result:

      /opt/retropie/configs/all/autostart.sh

      sudo bluetoothctl remove 40:1B:5F:BA:D5:A0 sudo timeout 6 bluetoothctl scan on sudo bluetoothctl connect 40:1B:5F:BA:D5:A0 sudo bluetoothctl trust 40:1B:5F:BA:D5:A0 emulationstation #auto

      Now I can easily pair my controller back to the Pi on system startup without even having to plug it in using USB and navigating through all of the menu options.

      So happy! :)

      @bopnrgi said in l2ping not responding even working PS4 Dualshock Controller (bluetooth connected):

      But what I don't understand is why l2ping is not working on my retropie installation. Do you have an idea ?

      No, I'm not familiar with it. How did you pair the controller ? Did you pair it manually or with the RetroPie Bluetooth configuration ?

      ok so that may not have been my problem but i did get it paired but the only change i did was for something else which was turning off hardware acceleration cause it would crash when trying to scroll through games. dont have any idea how there connected though. but after that paired just fine.

      Hello,

      Quick update. I re-flashed and figured it out.

      The problem was that i had the PS3 controller driver enabled and this was disconnecting the ps4 controller after it had synced up as they don't work together.

      So i disabled the ps3 driver and then just blue-toothed the PS4 pad the normal way (without the DS4 driver) and it works perfectly.

      Thanks for your help.

      Has anyone figured out a solution?

      @hophead05
      I also have the same problem and same controller. If I change to other n64-emulator the controller works but the emulation is slow.

      So like I said the PS4 lets me move around in EmuStation just fine, no issues with buttons etc. If I launch Retroarch GUI, the PS4 can't move around in it at all. I have to restart the system to get out of it.
