There's no extra commands in EmulationStation or otherwise that changes the resolution on a stock RetroPie installation. You can change the emulator resolution via from the runcommand launch, but that's about it.

If 240p set via config.txt works, then I don't see why the same method for 480i wouldn't work. How are you setting the 480i resolution for your display - via config.txt or other method ?

Please also add the info asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first to your post (RetroPie version, devices, etc.)

You can edit the title and add a a 'solved' tag to it.

Use the screen configuration utility and make the 2nd HDMI port the primary screen.
Note that RetroPie is not supported on a desktop environment or on TwisterOS.

@akr8080 Some controllers don't expose the turbo button, but internally activate the turbo feature when you press it along with the other button where the turbo function is applied. Maybe the Brawler64 is similar, but can't find a manual for the controller to confirm.

I'm a bit confused. If you're using the Pi4 image provided on retropie.org.uk/download, there's no additional installation to be done - RetroPie is already installed and the system should boot to EmulationStation.

How are you installing RetroPie ? Is a Raspberry Pi OS image from raspberrypi.org working on the device ?

@mitu Thanks. Didn’t work though. Updated Skyscraper, recreated the gamelist, installed the Daphne emulator, rebooted: the ES fails to boot, same error code.
