      What are the steps to set the 'Parse Metadata only' in EmulationStation to 'off' on my pie4.

      Press Start on your controller and choose Other Settings. There you are.

      @Dben91 said in Mounting only pulling atari emulators / roms HALP :{:

      @mitu How would it pull the atari systems but nothing else?

      What happens when you rename your atari (2600 I guess?) folder on the thumbdrive to something else, e.g. atari2600.test? Does it still show up or does another system appear instead?

      Does the option "Parse Gamelists Only" in Emulation Station's Main Menu > Other Options change anything? (The latter only applies if you generated gamelist.xml files for your roms.)

      And please excuse me, but are you really sure that the other systems are on the thumbdrive? Can you show us a listing of the roms folder on the thumbdrive?

      edit: And please post the information that @mitu requested in the post above your last post.

      @herb_fargus so maybe that's why it's not working. Will try your build and see if that works. Thanks

      @cacrlhungus74 There is nothing wrong with ES or it's custom collections. It was never the intention to edit this files manual. The collections were designed to be added all out of ES. You can create files out of ES menu, you usually add/remove entries to these collections also by ES.
      But I agree it's very handy to edit these files and just add entries ... or use collections other user stick together ;)

      @clyde not trying to make things more difficult. Just giving another option in-case he can’t get the official method to work.

      I had to set the Scraper to "No-Intro" instead of "theGamesDB". That did the trick.

      @joelgbr

      (1) Is your Pie on the same network as your computer?

      (2) What username and password are you using for WinSCP? It should be username: pi password: raspberry

      (3) The Host name on WinSCP should be the IP address of your Pie... (You can find that by using the ShowIP function located in the RetropieConfiguration area...

      (4) You can also use a Windows 'file explorer' window to talk to the RP by typing in // IP address (making sure it is recognizing it as a network instruction, and not a website)

      (5) Install RetroPieManager (one of my favorite) by following the video below. It lets you access via your webrowser, by putting in the IP address followed by :8000 . It's pretty slick, and let's you know if the files you uploaded are compatible in those folders. Only issue with it is it doesn't quite work well will large files (500mb+)

      @Everett1954

      When you install/remove emulators, that gets updated in /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg but if you also have /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg, well that one will take precedence but it doesn't get updated so you have to manually update it.

      If you want to load roms from a USB stick, make a folder called Retropie-mount and put into the raspberry pi. It will create folders for roms. Put the roms in the correct folders and restart emulation station. Note, this will not copy to the sd card.
