      @ministry said in Settings not persisted after power loss!:

      Everything works great, but I'm experiencing an annoying bug: some settings are not persisted after a power loss.

      Yanking the power out from the Pi without properly shutting down the system can cause filesystem corruption or sd card damage, which can lead to unexpected results, including symptoms like you described.

      From the settings you mentioned, only custom collection settings are EmulationStation specific, the rest are emulator configurations, which should be written/persisted when you exit the game. If you shutdown properly, does the issue still happens ?

      Updated ...all/retroarch.cfg to reflect:

      input_player1_mouse_index = "3" input_player2_mouse_index = "3"

      ...and BOOM! It worked.

      Ok, since I had only seen the directories when starting Skyscraper, I wasn't aware of the symlinks. In the end, this also means that I don't have to change anything in the configuration and I leave it as the default. I just want to have everything in the four directories so that I have everything together when I switch to a new version.

      Maybe another question about the update, I can run Retropie-Setup-Script-Update and Basic Install from time to time without having to change or pay attention to anything else. So I'm not overwriting anything of my existing custom configuration, right?

      I make backups of the whole sd-card as an image. But can I also mount the image without any problems in order to copy only the data from the four directories out again? Or do I save the image just to use it again as a whole and should I save only the directories again just in case?

      @alebofsky said in How to save configuration for spinner for an individual game:

      System is running Retropie Playbox on Raspberry Pi 4 (Cortex-A72)

      We don't support 3rd party images - use the RetroPie image from retropie.org.uk/download and report back if you still have the issue when saving the remaps for the game.

      It's OK I found how to have the Kempston Joystick at the start of Fuse :) you have to add the following line

      input_libretro_device_p1 = "513"

      to file /opt/retropie/configs/all/zxspectrum/retroarch.cfg
