      @mitu I opened a couple and they seem ok. I will check the space left on the card. I don’t think that’s it though. It’s a 64 gb card and I formatted it before using and the only thing on it is RetroPie and the ROMs. Maybe I’ll start with a fresh new SD and new install and see if that solves it. Thank you.

      Great responses here, thank you so much. Of course it does come down to personal preference but your responses are helping me determine which way I want to go, so please don't think there's no value in the discussion. :-)

      I'm currently trying re-encoding some videos with Handbrake to see how that goes and if it's worth pursuing. I think I'm probably trying to have my cake and eat it (which to some degree you can do with Retropie lol), but I still have a bit of thinking to do about which way I'm gonna go ultimately.

      Guys and gals here - you rock, as always. Thanks again. ;-)

      When you start a 'bulk' scraping operation you have an option named User decides on conflicts, you can toggle that off and you'll not be asked anything during scraping.

      To scrape a single game, press Select when you've selected the game in the list and then choose Edit this game's metadata, you'll have the option to scrape there that single game/rom.

      Ok so I've found out why, for anyone that could find this thread later on, with the same issue. It is far simple as Skyscrapper, at the time of this posting, does not support Famicom and Super Famicom as a platform. Maybe in a futur update? Maybe never? We'll see in time.

      For now I've placed my Famicom in my NES rom and Super Famicom in my SNES folder and did the scrape. Then I moved it back to the famicom and sfc folder respectively, including the gamelist.xml and the media folder.

      It's a bit of a hassle, but it get the job done.

      URL to the supported Skyscrapper platform :

      @zodiark12 said in Scraper:

      If so I will enable them but after scraping can I empty the cache without affecting the medias in the rom folders?

      Skyscraper first downloads the media to the cache, then it will copy it to the media folder where EmulatonStation reads it (being it in the ROM folder or not) in a subsequent step - when you generate the gamelists. Once you finish scraping, yes, you can clear the cache and have only 1 copy of the artwork/video/etc.

      Thanks @muldjord The "xenon+2" bit works because "/opt/retropie/supplementary/skyscraper/Skyscraper -p amiga -s screenscraper --query romnom=xenon+2 Xenon2_v1.7_CDTV.lha" scrapes no problem. I have the scraped image now from that file/scrape. My plan is to get Skyscraper use a local image now I have it.

      I tried sha1 and crc, neither of them work. For some reason it just doesn't like my .cue/.iso copy of Xenon 2 CDTV.

      Scraping for Amiga can be a bit tricky especially if, like me, you're determined to use specific roms rather than common ones.

      @Zenjiro couldn’t figure out how. They may not be up to their standards anyway. Not too sure. If someone knows how, feel free. It’s easy to donate money from the many links, but don’t see anywhere to upload.

      Backup your data - see Option 2 of how you can backup - and re-install.

      Scraped data is kept in one of these places:

      the ROMs folder (if you've used an external scraper). the \\retropie\configs\emulationstations\downloaded_images folder, if you've used only the EmulationStation internal scraper(s).

      So if you take the advice in the docs and back-up your ROMs and configs folders, you should be able to keep your games and scraped data.

      Make sure you specified the correct path where you copied the images when you edit the game. Can you post the gamelist.xml file for the system where you added the images on pastbin.com ? We can check if there are any incorrect paths there.

      @mitu you were right!

      I read about the API changed of EmlationStation but I had some packages conflict that I fixed with 'apt --fix-broken install' and after this I updated the EmulationStation as you said.

      All perfect now, thank you very much for the super quick answer.
