@a12c4 Alright, it worked! kind of embarrassing since it's such a simple fix. Though thinking about it, it makes complete sense why an odd number would work. Anyway, thanks again! You saved me a lot of time, as it would have taken a while until I would have realized the problem. Take care!

FWIW it is currently only in the development branch of emulationstation.

Leave Emulationstation.
ssh with account pi to your pie:

sudo su cd Retropie-Setup

Then you will have to do the "three chord":

./retropie_packages.sh emulationstation-dev sources #1 ./retropie_packages.sh emulationstation-dev build #2 ./retropie_packages.sh emulationstation-dev install #3

If you want to adjust the delay do use this line before proceeding to step 2 and 3.

thanks @mitu , very much appreciate the reply. On HyperSpin, there are a few third party plug-ins (LEDBlinky and EDS) which have access to wheel scrolling events that I'm able to integrate with. EDS uses Windows Named Pipes for example to capture and trigger the events. I have a listener that receives those events via REST URL API calls http://ledpixelart.com/pixelcade-api/ and then update the LED marquee accordingly. Would be awesome to find a way to do this with RetroPie.

Just a suggestion for the devs: it would be cool if we could manually scroll the game description with the right analog stick, and if the stick isn't touched or the controller doesn't have one it would scroll by itself (adjusting the autoscroll time would be cool as mentioned above)

@didier110 Hey, I had the same problem running Mega Bomberman.

I switched from lr-picodrive to lr-genesis-gx and all was fixed with that game. Since that, I've switched most of my sega to the lr-genesis-gx emulator.

@sexbeer i noticed this today as well trying to do stuff in the rgui on retropie 4.2.

no m8...you were dead right.
I've switched to nachos ready made 128gb image and it uses different emulators for different games....
my 2 faves wonderboy and pac land use ir-mame2003 and the video has no tearing at all.
just need to swap the button setup and I'm all set....have tried every key on the keyboard and it doesnt seem to have a button to bring the menu up for swapping buttons around like advmame.
